As promised here is some of the new cards I have been making over the last couple of days some are orders and some are just for me making to see if I can sell them. The card below is one from an order. I have been asked to make 2 first anniversay cards and this is one I have came up with. I like it because it is different.
This is the second of the anniversary cards i was asked to make, this was made with the S.W.A.L.K congratulations stamp and papers, I am loving this stamp set its sooo cute.
I was asked to make a Christening Card and I was lucky to get this pic from the docrafts site from someone and I think its gorgeous I just hope the recipient likes it.
Its my hubbys Aunt and Uncles golden wedding anniversary at the start of next month and we have been invited to the party. I wanted to do something with a golden theme and I think this has came out better than i thought. Showed it to hubby and he loves it.
Dont you just love christmas themes there is so much you can do and I love this card.

wow can you believe its friday already where has the week gone. Had quite a busy week with orders coming in through on Facebook and through here so the contact me works woohoo. Last night I started on my christmas cards and had fun making them until it came to taking pictures and my silly camera stopped working. After checking online it seems its not unusual for this camera to do that but once it starts its best in the bin so guess whats going to camera heaven. Just as well hubby has a good camera so he will need to take my pics which he should be starting to do soon seen as I now have even more to get done.
Got sent home from work early today and guess where i headed for ..... yes you guessed my craft room and had great fun but dont want to say too much until I can get the pics uploaded.

I have decide now that I have my own blog that I would like to take part in more challenges and seeing a gorgeous card being posted on facebook through networked blogs I clicked on the link to find out more. It took me to http://craftyourdaysaway.blogspot.com/2010/08/cyda-challenge-1.html where their first challenge is up and running and seen as the theme is something simple I thought.. Cheryl you can do that so here is my entry
This is one of my favourite things because I love the Cherry Kisses Digi Stamp range I loved that much that I bought the full collection including papers too. The other favourite thing here is the colours and considering Im not much of a girlie girl these are my 2 favourite colours for making my cards and this is Pink and Lilac.
If I'm lucky enough to win this challenge I can win a $10 spend in the Simon Says Store with p&p paid for so I cant complain at that when a card maker needs as much stuff as possible lol. I hope you all agree with me that this is a good choice.

I'm all excited as my new S.W.A.L.K. stamp set along with some popcorn the bear and a flower fairies stamp all popped through my door on sat so had a play with them on sunday and all i can say is wow wow I love them. The swalk set by crafters companion is a gorgeous set of stamps and bar one they are mainly for female and little girl cards but going to have fun with them. Last week i ordered some card direct from the papermill online but to get free postage i spent the £30 as my card was costing just over £20 and with the price of postage it was better to spend that wee bit extra and get some goodies .
Well the goodies arrived today so I have 4 boxes of different colours of card and they are so yummy mummy and the different kinds of card and paper you get are amazing so I cant wait til I can get to my nearest shop. Some of the other goodies I got were the Percy & Penelope christmas paper set and ribbons as i have the decoupage set and they are sooooo cute. I also got some white 'Merry Christmas stickers that will look good as they have a slight snowy affect. I also got some double sided tape as you can never have enough of that stuff but its mega thin and mega sticky so will be good for attaching ribbons.
So i cant wait to play with the goodies (which i will take pics of tomorrow and post them) so maybe get a play tomorrow night but on sat going to gut out back bedroom so i can get my desk set up so i can have some crafting space as fed up using the living room and making a mess lol. So Sunday when hubby goes golfing I will be in my element playing with all my new goodies.

Ok here goes with the boring stuff lol .....................
I got into making cards over a year ago now and got into it purely by coincedence. I was on holiday with my hubby and inlaws and was out shopping and noticed this different card shop so thought wow going into have a nosey as me and hubby have for at least 8 years now bought each other a handmade card. I was looking round and like what I saw but when looked at the price (not that I'm cheap) but just got fed up for paying for something that was nice but wasnt necessarily saying what I wanted it to say so hereby my new started.
I came home from the holidays and not really looking into it went to my nearest hobbycraft and just bought a whole load of stuff including sale christmas items, lots of embellishments and some cards and envelopes and got set to work. My first couple of cards considering I was new weren't too bad but decided if I wanted to do anything with my cards then embellishments was going to be too costly especially as people had started to ask me to make cards for them so I wanted to keep the cost down.
After looking on the internet at craft sites I came across the Docrafts website so joined up and went and had a looked. I found the information there invaluable and I still go on regularly to keep up to date and I also like to take part in some of the swaps. But it was here in this site I found some good friends especially Denise who has been a saint she has helped me so much that I dont know what I can say or do to thank her but I will find something. Denise has helped me bring my cards along a long way by introducing me to other techniques that dont have to be so costly in the long run. I have been sent lots of nice things to help me get started and that has included die cuts and stamps so Denise you are my craft angel thank you.
At the moment I am loving digi stamps and stamping, my favourite stamps are the Popcorn the Bear they are so cute, I have just recently purchased the S.W.A.L.K. set from crafters companion and wow I can only say these are perfect for the ladies. In learning all about stamping I have had to learn about the right ink to use as my other favourite craft item is my Pro-marker pens which allow me to colour in my images and boy do I love these pens hurry up christmas so I can ask santa to bring me some more. I also like doing decoupage but its not right for every occasion so only do it when its appropriate.
For my christmas last year my hubby bought me my cuttlebug which I have only really started getting the use out of it recently. But what a smasher of a machine it is. The cuttlebug allows me to die cut and emboss images so for someone who started out buying loads of embellishments this is my new way of getting them but of course I will still buy them when I need to. I have recently been told about the spellbinders nestabilities so bought myself a set when I was at the Craft Fair at the SECC in March but even more recently I purchased a nellie snellen and Marianne design die plates and they are gorgeous cant wait to add to my collection.
You can see my cards in the gallery section and if you would like to purchase one not necessaarily the exact same one that is up but I will make a card to your requirments I just need you to give me the info required so on the conact page just fill in the details you require and I will get back to you.
Prices for the cards you can see in my gallery just now range from £1 to £2.50 but I will get a more specific prist list done but I will also be doing more specialised cards that the cost may be more but I will try and do a good price for you.
Please take note of this OFFER for your first card order I will do it Free of Charge for you to make sure you are happy enough with the result but I do have to limit to one card and can either be a birthday or Christmas card just use the contact me page to send me your details.

Well people ..................... let me hear the drum role ................................
Cardsbycheryl is just about up and running just got to decide on where things have to go and what to call them but the main things are now sorted. I can now see who is following me so come on get yourself registered and join in the fun and laughter at watching me trying to get this working lol trust me there has been a few tears. Oh have you had a chance to have a look at my pictures .... great isnt it. I knew when I wanted a website/blog i wanted my card pictures to be laid out a certain way and last night when hubby wa strying to sort it for me there was tears from me because it wasnt how i wanted it to look but he got me sorted today and i'm a majorily happy bunny yippeeeee.
Over the next week I will be adding more cards as i have pictures of them all over the place, I need to set up a price list because people have been asking about prices and you will see I now have a contact me button so that is thereif you want to order a card and you can fill in the details and let me know what you would like and when you need it by and I will reply back to you and let you know it has been received.
Wow I didn't think I would get into this blogging malarkey but it seems like i'm going to like it.

This is nail biting stuff ..... trying to get this blog up and running and I'm not even doing the main part – it's my better half. Well seeing he is the one with the knowledge of websites and design and the technical stuff lol, I will just stick to making my cards. No seriously, CardsbyCheryl will hopefully be up and running with you soon and I hope you will join in following me and you can watch how my hobby grows and you will have the option to contact me if you wish to ask me anything or order a handmade card.
